Interior Designer
We’re looking for an experienced and imaginative Interior Designer to join our collaborative team. This role is ideal for an interior designer with a strong background in multifamily housing, or residential and commercial projects, and a passion for creating cohesive environments—from interior spaces to curated outdoor amenities. You’ll be involved in the full design process from concept to completion, working closely with our Design Director and creative team to bring bold, artful spaces to life.
Key Responsibilities
Work together with design director, studio team, and design consultants & vendors to bring interior design projects from concept through construction
Collaborate with the design director on design of interior and exterior spaces, and amenity areas.
Work together with design director & procurement manager to select and design multiple project FF&E packages, including custom furniture, lighting, art, signage and accessories from concept to completion.
Create conceptual interior & exterior room space plans in AutoCAD for communication with outside teams, architect & constructor.
Work with design director and outside consultants to design outdoor amenity areas and site furnishings
Align creative solutions with timelines and budget constraints
Translate project goals into conceptual plans and detailed working drawings for furniture, interior elevations, RCPs,
Conduct materials research and manage sourcing within budget
Create mood and material boards for presentation and visualization, and/or direct assistant designers in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe suite to create.
Design independently, as well as, in collaboration with the team and visually communicate ideas within deadlines.
Produce 2D interior and detail elevations using AutoCAD, and/or direct assistant designers in AutoCAD to create.
Manage and mentor assistant designers and interns.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors and inhouse project coordinator, to execute interior designs.
Stay informed on industry trends, standards, and best practices
Conduct site visits alone, or with team as needed to manage design.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field
7+ years of interior design experience, including some experience in a design supervisory role.
Proven experience in space planning, finish selection, FF&E design, and detailing
Skilled in lighting design, custom furniture, and full-scope interior development
Strong portfolio of interior design work
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with color palette development
Knowledge of sustainable design strategies
Excellent creative intuition, strong communication & organizational skills
On-site design coordination and FF&E installation experience
Custom art selection or working with artists is a bonus
